This course equips electrical industry workers in Hervey Bay with the practical skills and knowledge to safely perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus, covering site-specific hazard identification, isolation processes, and correct use of LV panel rescue equipment. Designed for electricity supply industry (ESI) and electrical industry workers, the training meets WHS/OHS, mobility, and mutual aid requirements — excluding overhead lines and underground cables. The program also includes hands-on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, combining real-world practical skills with essential theoretical knowledge. This training is a mandatory requirement for many high-risk industry roles across Hervey Bay and the Fraser Coast, ensuring participants leave confident and competent in both CPR and LV rescue procedures.
